Our Frames brand, Continental Eyewear, ran a ‘Back to School’ themed competition for our customers throughout August. We invited independent Opticians up and down the country to create a window or in-store display to showcase the latest kids frames best suited to the school environment. We also provided artworks and ideas promoting Continental’s two hugely popular children’s frames ranges: Lazer Junior and Matrix Kids.
Lazer Junior and Matrix Kids are two of the most comprehensive, value for money children’s eyewear collections’ available in today’s market. Lazer Junior offers an extensive range of durable frames which combine exciting colours, patterns and shapes to suit all requirements. Matrix Kids offers a wide variety of eye-catching colour options and frame designs ranging from classic to contemporary – perfect for those older children who are discovering their own unique style.
We provided Point of Sale options for our customers to order and use to enhance their creative displays:
- Two A2 strip ‘Eye Test’ style posters
- An A2 poster, which was a blackboard/ chalk style, featuring a ‘back to school’ checklist.
The competition was a great success and Continental received a large number of imaginative, highly creative entries from our customers throughout the UK.
We invited our Millmead Group staff to vote for the most imaginative and attention-grabbing displays. Thanks to the sheer breadth and effort involved in some of the entries, we had to create a second and third place prize as well.
The winners were:
3rd place- Scott Gilmour Optometrists
2nd place- Eyesite Opticians
And 1st place was awarded to Brown & White Opticians, Hook
Thank you to everyone who took part in the competition and demonstrated that Creativity and Salesmanship is well and truly flourishing in the Optical Retail arena!
